Immigration and Dehumanization
An interesting thought: in a way, all tourists are 'illegal immigrants' — the only difference being that they aren't trying to get a job.
The demonization of a particular immigrant group is dangerous; history shows that once on that path, it becomes easy to dehumanize, and in extreme cases worse. Most of these people are just you and me, looking to better themselves, but born by accident into a country that cannot feed them. A nation still has to keep the rule of law to avoid anarchy — but, like the drug trade, the real driver is demand. As long as employers will hire undocumented workers, they will come; they have little choice.
